Luis Diaz has been “flirting” with the idea of leaving Liverpool this summer amid growing interest from both Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed what sources have told him about the 28-year-old’s future at Anfield after he refused to commit his long-term future to Liverpool.
The Colombia international is believed to be “in negotiations” with other clubs, and personal terms over a move to Bayern are not expected to be an issue.
However, they have yet to reach an agreement with Liverpool over a transfer fee as Arne Slot’s side rebuffed an offer from Bayern Munich earlier this month.
Football Insider revealed last month that Arne Slot will demand £70million to sell Diaz this summer after they turned down Barcelona’s initial approach.
Meanwhile, Football Insider reported that Liverpool will let Diaz leave if he makes clear his desire to move on as he continues to flirt with other clubs.

Luis Diaz eyes Liverpool exit after Bayern Munich latest
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider on 10 July that Liverpool are braced for offers for Diaz after Bayern missed out on other key targets.
After Nico Williams committed his future to Athletic Bilbao and Florian Wirtz joined Liverpool, Vincent Kompany’s side are determined to land a marquee signing.
O’Rourke explained that Diaz has left the door open to a move to the Bundesliga giants, with talk surrounding his exit set to drag out late into the window.
“This has got the potential to be the transfer saga of the summer,” he told Football Insider.
“Diaz is still flirting with these interested clubs and has refused to commit his long-term future to Liverpool.
“He’s happy at Liverpool and Liverpool are happy with him, but he has also admitted that he is in negotiations with other clubs as well.
“Bayern Munich made an offer to Liverpool which was rebuffed earlier this month with Liverpool saying they have no intentions of letting Diaz go.
“Bayern are still very much interested in signing the Colombian.
“They need to make a marquee signing after they missed out on Nico Williams and Florian Wirtz, and the injury to Jamal Musiala has increased their need to sign an attacker.
“The talk is that personal terms won’t be a problem, it’s just about agreeing a fee with Liverpool.”

Arne Slot eyes Anthony Gordon deal after Diaz update
While speculation about Diaz’s future continues to rumble in the background, Slot’s side have already set their sights on signing his replacement.
Football Insider revealed on 10 July that Liverpool want to sign Anthony Gordon and are plotting a new move to sign the Newcastle and England star.
The 24-year-old came close to a move to Anfield last summer and told friends at the time that he was “very keen” on the switch.
Sources say Gordon is still open to a move to the Reds despite having signed a new long-term contract at Newcastle in October to extend his stay until 2030.
