CLEVELAND, Ohio — As you read this, keep in mind that I tend to fall in love with prospects. The NBA Summer League has always been fun to watch. A few years ago, I was raving about Isaiah Mobley. He’s the older brother of the Cavs’ Evan Mobley.
Isaiah was the MVP of the 2023 Las Vegas Summer League championship game (28 points, 11 rebounds) when the Cavs beat Houston. Mobley averaged 23 points and 10 rebounds in the 2023 Summer League. Emoni Bates averaged 18.1 points and 5.0 rebounds. Sam Merrill 27 points in the title game. Craig Porter Jr. had eight points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
