The Australian guard has yet to appear at the team’s Summer League games in Las Vegas, raising questions about his status with the franchise, Jake Fischer of The Stein Line suggests.

While other Bulls veterans were seen courtside during the event, Giddey’s absence has fueled speculation.

According to reports, the 22-year-old is aiming for a deal in the range of $30 million per year, but team insiders say the Bulls have not offered, or even discussed, such a contract during negotiations.

Giddey arrived in Chicago following a trade from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Alex Caruso.

In his debut season with the Bulls, he averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game, while shooting an efficient 46.5% from the field and 37.8% from deep.

His all-around game earned him a place in Bulls history, becoming only the third player in franchise history — alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen — to record at least 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 500 assists in a single season.

He also logged seven triple-doubles throughout the 2024–25 campaign, underlining his versatility and court vision.
