Arsenal are on the verge of securing a major signing, with Chelsea winger Noni Madueke set to join the Gunners in a £52 million deal.
The 23-year-old England international has been granted permission to leave Chelsea’s Club World Cup camp in the United States to finalise his move to North London.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano and the Standard, Madueke has already arrived in London to undergo his medical, scheduled to take place within the next 24 hours from July 13, 2025.

If all proceeds smoothly, Arsenal are expected to officially announce Madueke’s signing early next week, potentially by July 15 or 16, 2025, with the player set to join his new teammates for pre-season preparations.
Madueke, who began his career in the academies of Crystal Palace and Tottenham before moving to PSV Eindhoven in 2018, joined Chelsea in January 2023 for £29 million.
Despite scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 45 appearances last season, his opportunities at Stamford Bridge have been inconsistent under Enzo Maresca.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, a long-time admirer, sees Madueke as a versatile winger capable of providing cover and competition for Bukayo Saka on the right while also offering a left-footed option on the opposite flank. His pace, direct dribbling, and two-footedness—evidenced by 48 left-footed and 25 right-footed shots in the Premier League last season—make him a dynamic addition.
The £52 million deal, comprising £48.5 million upfront and £4 million in add-ons, has sparked debate among Arsenal fans, with some questioning the fee for a player primarily seen as a backup for Saka. However, Madueke’s potential to flourish under Arteta’s guidance could prove transformative.
With personal terms already agreed on a five-year contract until June 2030, this transfer marks Arsenal’s fourth signing this summer, following Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, and Christian Norgaard, signaling their intent to challenge for the 2025/26 Premier League title.
