With the summer transfer window now in full swing, there have been some major developments regarding the future of Evan Ferguson over the last couple of weeks.
It was widely expected that the Irishman would be on the move this summer, having fallen down the pecking order at Brighton. While it was initially assumed that it would be another loan deal, it now seems likely that he will leave on a permanent basis.
Ferguson has reportedly drawn quite a bit of interest in recent times, both in the Premier League and on the continent. It now seems as though he has decided on his next move.

Brighton Name Their Price After Evan Ferguson Agrees Move To New Club
Well-known Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Evan Ferguson has decided that he will move to Roma this summer.
The Italian giants have been heavily linked with the 20-year old in recent weeks, although it remained to be seen if it would be a loan or permanent move.
It is now suggested that a permanent deal is likely, with negotiations between the clubs underway over the transfer fee. It is said that Brighton are seeking a fee of around €45million to sanction his sale, although Roma are hoping to secure his signature for a lesser amount.
Roma would be a very interesting destination for Evan Ferguson. Their new manager Gian Piero Gasperini is renowned for developing young players, especially those in forward positions. The likes of Rasmus Hojlund, Gianluca Scamacca, and Mateo Retegui all thrived under his stewardship at previous club Atalanta.
It would be hoped that he could repeat that feat with Ferguson, who is likely to be low on confidence at the minute due to his recent lack of form and injury issues. However, at just 20-years old, there is every chance that he can get his career back on track over the coming seasons.
