The 25-year-old suffered the injury on March 17 during a game against the Detroit Pistons and underwent surgery just over a week later on March 26.
Now, Murphy is eyeing a full return for the start of next season and shared a positive update during NBA Summer League.
“You know, I feel pretty good. I have started up my skill workouts, so I am able to do things with no restrictions and just waiting to get cleared for contact,” he said.
Murphy was having a breakout year before the injury struck, averaging 21.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game across 53 appearances — all career-highs.
He shot nearly 55% from the field and continued to establish himself as one of the NBA’s top 3-and-D wings.
