Cleveland Browns rookie running back and former Ohio State star Quinshon Judkins was arrested in Broward County, Florida, on a charge of domestic battery and violence, according to arrest records.
Judkins remained in jail as of Saturday night with no bond posted. He has an initial court appearance scheduled for Sunday morning. The arrest record specifies the charge as “touch or strike/battery/domestic violence.”
A Browns spokesperson said they are ‘aware of the incident and are gathering more information.’ Cleveland’s rookies report to training camp on July 18.
Judkins was a second-round pick by the Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft out of Ohio State at No. 37 overall. They let franchise legend Nick Chubb walk in free agency, hoping that Judkins would become the starting running back.
Cleveland added depth to their room with Tennessee’s Dylan Sampson in the fourth round, and he could have an opportunity to push for playing time. Veteran Jerome Ford is on the roster and has started 18 games over the last two seasons.
Another wrinkle in the Judkins situation is that he has yet to sign his rookie contract, one of 30 second-round picks that have yet to ink a deal with the team that drafted them. Draftees are seeking more guaranteed money in their contracts. For Judkins, this situation could affect that.
