Tottenham could potentially come into play as West Ham United are leading the race to sign Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz.

The 18-cap Brazil international moved to Turin last summer after impressing in the Premier League with Aston Villa, but things haven’t gone as planned for the midfielder at the Bianconeri.

Luiz has now been linked with a move to the London Stadium as the Hammers look at a creative loan deal with an obligation to buy the 27-year-old.

With the Irons already doing business with Spurs for Mohammed Kudus this summer, the North London outfit may have a part to play in the Serie A outfit’s plans.

It’s been claimed that the Spurs midfielder is seen as one of the options to succeed the 27-year-old at the Allianz Stadium ahead of next season.

It will be interesting to see how the former Villa star’s situation will unfold this summer, and Graham Potter will surely hope he moves to E20.

Potter needs Luiz transfer at the London Stadium

Guido Rodriguez’s underwhelming stint at the London Stadium could potentially come to an end soon after signing for the Hammers as a free agent.

The World Cup winner has endured a difficult season at the Irons, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave just a year after arriving.

Potter may also sanction Edson Alvarez’s sale in the coming weeks, with the Mexico international’s form dipping in the previous campaign.

West Ham are coming off a 14th-place finish in the Premier League, and fans will undoubtedly want to see that change soon.

The former Chelsea manager hasn’t been able to bring out the best of the squad at his disposal and arguably needs significant additions to his team.

Luiz represents a fantastic opportunity for the Hammers to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, but only time will tell whether he will move to the London Stadium.
