It's never a good thing for an NFL team when one of their most recent draft picks is arrested before he even gets to his first training camp.

Unfortunately for the Cleveland Browns, running back Quinshon Judkins, who the team drafted 36th overall in the second round back in April, was arrested this weekend in Fort Lauderdale, per reports.

Judkins was picked up on the following charge: Touch or strike/battery/domestic violence, via the Broward County Sheriff's Office.

Details are scarce at the moment, but the Browns said they are "aware and gathering information" on the situation, according to Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal.

A native of Pike Road, Alabama, Judkins started his college career at Ole Miss, where he was SEC Freshman of the Year and a freshman All-American in 2022. Following the 2023 season, the 5-foot-11, 225-pound back transferred to Ohio State.

With the Buckeyes, Judkins formed a potent 1-2 backfield punch with TreVeyon Henderson, helping Ohio State win the national championship. A third-team All-Big Ten selection, Judkins rushed for 1,060 yards and 14 touchdowns while adding 22 receptions for 161 yards and two scores.

Judkins has yet to sign his first contract with the Browns, as he's one of 30 still-unsigned second-round picks around the NFL. The reason these players remain unsigned is reportedly because of an issue with the guaranteed money in their contracts.

The Browns selected Judkins and then used a fourth-round pick on Tennessee's Dylan Sampson as they try to revamp their running back room after letting franchise mainstay Nick Chubb leave in free agency.

Veteran Jerome Ford is currently projected as Cleveland's No. 1 running back, with Judkins, Sampson and Pierre Strong also vying for carries. The Browns will hold their first official training camp practice on July 23.
