Manchester United are still looking to complete a deal for Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo as their next summer signing.
United have already added Matheus Cunha to their ranks this summer in a £62.5million deal from Wolves. Now it seems that Mbeumo is the next target that United will be looking to bring to Old Trafford ahead of Ruben Amorim's first full season as the new head coach.
There is still plenty of time left for United to complete their transfer business, with the summer transfer window closing on September 1. However, there have been some concerns over the last couple of weeks about the potential delay in reaching an agreement to sign Mbeumo.
United have had two bids rejected by Brentford for Mbeumo, with the second believed to be worth more than £60million with add-ons. United are still confident that a deal can be agreed with Brentford, and now a fresh update has emerged on a separate deal that may affect the chances of the Cameroon international moving to Old Trafford.
Sky Sports Italy are reporting that Juventus are showing an interest in signing Jadon Sancho. The forward spent last season on loan at Chelsea, who chose to pay a penalty fee rather than the £25million obligation to buy at the end of the campaign.
The report goes on to say that Juventus would need to sell two wingers before being able to sign Sancho. It remains unclear if the Serie A outfit will achieve this, but if they do, it's suggested that a deal for Sancho may be on the cards.
Should Sancho leave Old Trafford to move to Turin, it could allow United to reinvest some of the money earned from the transfer on a deal for Mbeumo. A lot has to happen for this to become a reality, of course, with negotiations still taking place between United and Brentford over a deal for Mbeumo.
