Liverpool are willing to pay £40 million for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi and are readying an offer, according to Alan Nixon.
Arne Slot adapted brilliantly to the Premier League in his first season at Anfield, guiding Liverpool to their second-ever title in the modern top flight with four games to spare. The Reds were dominant in their triumph and have wasted little time in preparing for their trophy defence next season.
Alongside former Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, Liverpool have also signed both Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. The Reds are far from finished in the transfer market, with Liverpool having been linked with a number of players throughout the window so far. Now, it would appear that the Anfield side are hoping to sign this brilliant Premier League centre-back.

Liverpool will make offer for Guehi
Marc Guehi in action for Crystal Palace
Alan Nixon has reported that Liverpool will soon make a bid for Marc Guehi. With Crystal Palace, the England international has blossomed and last season, Guehi captained the Eagles to FA Cup glory, the club’s first-ever major honour.

Guehi is now in the final year of his contract, something that has contributed to rumours over a potential departure from Selhurst Park. Guehi has “always had a big interest” in moving to Liverpool who feel that, given the defender’s contract situation, £40 million would be a fair cost for the Palace captain.
Whether Liverpool agree a deal for the defender or not remains to be seen, but Guehi, called a "superstar," could feasibly be part of the club’s defence for years given his young age. It would certainly be a brilliant signing for a Liverpool side that will be aiming to win even more honours in the coming campaign.
