Jason Kelce retired from the NFL after a long and distinguished career. He played his entire tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles, and helped them win the first Super Bowl in the franchise's history.
Kelce was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a six-time All-Pro during his career, and he now focuses on the "New Heights" podcast along with other endeavors since retirement.
Of course, Jason isn't the only NFL star in the family. His younger brother Travis is a three-time Super Bowl champion tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs. Travis has become a household name around the world due to his relationship with Taylor Swift.
Jason is now retired, while Travis announced that he would be returning for at least one more year with the Chiefs. Kansas City lost in the Super Bowl last season, and it seems that Travis is prepared to take one more shot at a championship.
Both brothers have been in the public eye for some time, but Travis' rise to fame is clealry unlike anything either of them have dealt with before.
Ahead of the new season - which could be Travis' last - Jason reflected on their relationship and how it's evolved and changed since starting the show.
"Travis and I have been close for a long time," he said as both brothers participated in the American Century Golf Championship.
"Now with the [New Heights] podcast, we talk to each other more than we ever have. We loved each other growing up. We still love each other. Now it's more like peer-to-peer, whereas growing up, being the older brother, it was a little bit different. Now it's just, he's my best friend on the planet. We get to talk once a week, and our families are close. He's a great uncle."
The Kelces have been great ambassadors for the NFL, and Travis' association to Taylor Swift has introduced many new fans to the game of football. The brothers may be more famous than they've ever been, but Jason's words show that they aren't letting the fame come between their relationship as brothers.
We'll see how things continue to evolve for the two future Hall of Famers as they continue their move into the media space.
