Manchester United may be focusing on attacking additions, but the goalkeeping position is becoming a real area of focus for Ruben Amorim.
This could be a big week for Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim takes on Leeds United in Sweden next weekend and will be desperate to add more signings to his squad before that game.
Matheus Cunha joined United from Wolverhampton Wanderers early in the window, but remains the only attacking addition.
Bryan Mbeumo is United’s top priority, with Amorim keen to add more goals to his United squad.
Andre Onana’s injury leaves United with goalkeeping questions, though, and Amorim will need to weigh up the situation between the sticks in the coming days.

Millwall eye Manchester United’s Radek Vitek
Onana now looks set to miss the start of the Premier League season, just as Altay Bayindir’s agent holds talks over a move away.
United may need to keep hold of Bayindir with Onana now missing, at least until another goalkeeper can be brought in.
Radek Vitek’s future will also be considered after the Czech stopper returned to Old Trafford from an impressive spell in Austria with Blau-Weiss Linz.
More United News
Vitek has been backed for the ‘top level’, but United’s plans for the 21-year-old are unclear.
The Sun’s Alan Nixon now claims that Millwall are interested in signing Vitek on loan for the season.
The Lions missed out on the Championship play-offs last season and are looking to crack the top six under Alex Neil this season.
A new goalkeeper is now a priority, and Vitek is one of a number of goalkeeping targets on their radar ahead of the new season.
Ruben Amorim must look at Radek Vitek this summer
Onana’s injury may complicate matters, and Amorim will surely take a closer look at Vitek in pre-season.
The 6ft 6in stopper joined United from Sigma Olomouc in 2020, but has yet to make a first-team appearance for United.
Vitek has now enjoyed loans in both the EFL and in Europe, almost directly following the same path as compatriot Matej Kovar.
United sold Kovar to Bayer Leverkusen in 2023, but Vitek at least deserves a chance to show off his development this summer, especially with Onana now out and Bayindir potentially leaving.
Amorim may come away feeling that Vitek does need another loan move, but that decision should only come as pre-season ends.
