FC Barcelona will be looking to make some progress towards transfers in the upcoming weeks. However, the club is sure enough that they will do so on their own terms once the time comes. Ideally, Barcelona would prefer to sign players who can arrive without disrupting their Financial Fair Play.
That in itself, however, is a rather concerning challenge for La Blaugrana. Simply put, it becomes extremely difficult for the Catalan giants to find an ideal option this summer while keeping in mind their financial situation.
One possible option that has been shortlisted recently is English winger Marcus Rashford, and that is because Manchester United seem to actively want to offload him this summer. Using that to their advantage, Barça see a potential market opportunity there.
Rashford’s camp denies any meeting
BARCELONA, SPAIN - MARCH 11: Hansi Flick, Head Coach of FC Barcelona, looks on prior to the UEFA Champions League 2024/25 UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Round of 16 Second Leg match between FC Barcelona and SL Benfica at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys on March 11, 2025 in Barcelona, Spain.

A recent report even stated that the player looks set to have a meeting with Manchester United to discuss the final structure of any operation that leads to his exit. However, a new update now denies this and refutes the information by suggesting that the player’s camp is claiming something else.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the player’s camp has denied any imminent meeting is set to take place with Manchester United just yet. However, even with this information, there is complete clarity on the player’s side as well as on Barça’s.
Barcelona need to make a decision soon
While the 27-year-old winger wants to join Barcelona this summer, the Catalan giants are a bit more reserved in terms of their final conclusion. With Liverpool winger Luis Diaz still in the picture, Barcelona have a rather big decision to make and other options like Antonio Nusa is also there to be looked at.
Even though some reports claim that signing both together is not necessarily impossible, it still seems incredibly difficult. However, with there being a lack of consensus within Barcelona about who to target, it seems that there is still a lot to sort out this summer.
