New Orleans Saints WR coach brings fourth Wideout Camp to Omaha

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Even though he no longer lives in Nebraska, Keith Williams continues to give back to the state.

Williams is the wide receivers coach for the New Orleans Saints. Saturday, he brought his Wideout Camp to Omaha for its fourth year.

“Everybody walks out of here feeling like they got better at wideout play and they maybe learned something about motivation and how to continue to reach their dreams,” Williams told First Alert 6.

The camp, which was held at Millard South High School, has grown in numbers every year. It is an event that is helped put on by the Nebraska Elite 7-on-7 program.

Williams also brought several NFL wide receivers from his own position room with the Saints, among others he is connected with, to help lead instruction. Brandin Cooks, Rashid Shaheed and Donovan Peoples-Jones were among those in attendance.

“The same things that we were coaching are the same things that we were being coached on, so it’s the same language,” Peoples-Jones said. “I think us coaching them helps us understand it a little bit more.”

“The more they can be around each other the better, so that brotherhood takes place here,” WIlliams added. “It grows and it gets stronger.”
