West Ham do seem to be -finally – getting a wiggle on as far as player recruitment is concerned. Fans will hope that the El Hadji Malick Diouf medical is followed by his signature on a Hammers contract and photo shoots wearing ‘that’ lovely Claret shirt early next week.
Perhaps, just perhaps, the early part of the window in which the Irons seemed inactive was actually being put to good use laying the groundwork for what will follow in the next few weeks. Call me the super optimist after years of window disappointment!
IF reports coming from good sources close to the club are accurate, there are more deals on the horizon. Especially in view of the urgent need to recruit for West Ham’s midfield.

Attacking midfielder Harvey Elliot and defensive midfielder Tyler Morton – both Liverpool players and both 22 years old – are next, according to exWHUemployee:
“West Ham are set to turn attentions towards Harvey Elliot and Tyler Morton” ex reports, “As well as talks to try and progress a goal keeper signing”.
The Liverpool duo will be a tough nut to crack, with Elliot certainly able to take his pick of just about any Premiership side if recent reports are correct.
Can the Hammers afford him? Indeed why would he be motivated by a move to London Stadium when other clubs have European football to offer. The same argument could be made about the signing of El Hadji Malik Diouf – and that seems to have worked out just fine.
