Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman, and he could be a better option than Eberechi Eze or Noni Madueke.
The Gunners appear to be closing in on a move to sign Chelsea winger Madueke, with reports suggesting that the English star is currently in London as he's set to undergo a medical. The Chelsea star has already agreed a five-year deal at the Emirates Stadium, with a deal closing in for the versatile forward.
Crystal Palace's Eze is also a target for the north London club, with positive talks held over a potential move to secure his signature. Eze is predominantly an attacking midfielder, but we could also see him deployed on the left-hand side if he were to join the Gunners this summer.

According to reports, Arsenal are interested in signing Atalanta winger Lookman in the summer transfer window, with the English forward potentially on the move in the coming weeks or months. The report claims that Arsenal could make a move for his signature if they fail to land Eze, but there's an argument to suggest that they might be better off trying to sign Lookman.
Lookman is a natural left winger, and despite Arsenal targeting a move for Madueke, the former could be a better option. Madueke is predominantly a right-sided attacker, meaning he's going to compete with Bukayo Saka for a place in the starting XI, whereas Lookman could easily slot in on the left.

The former Everton man would arguably be Arsenal's best option on the left-hand side, whereas it might be slightly uncomfortable for Madueke to play there, considering he's spent the majority of his career on the opposite flank. Lookman enjoyed an incredible spell with Atalanta and was even nominated for the Ballon d'Or last year.

Sky Sports: 'Explosive' Star in London to Finalise Arsenal Move, 5-Year Deal
Noni Madueke is now in London ahead of his move to Arsenal after agreeing a five-year deal with the club.
Lookman Makes More Sense Than Eze for Arsenal
He's a natural in a position of need
Eberechi Eze
A move to sign Lookman could also make a lot more sense than bringing Eze to the Emirates, despite the latter being an incredibly talented player. Eze is an attacking midfielder by trade, meaning he will be battling with Martin Odegaard, who is a leader under Arteta, for a place in the starting XI.
Eze is capable of playing on the left, but similarly to Madueke, it's not his natural position. Lookman, described as 'world-class' by BBC reporter John Bennett, would undoubtedly become an instant starter for the Gunners in attack, and a move to secure his signature would be a better option for the Gunners than both Eze and Madueke.
