Marc Cucurella told 'never cut your hair' as PSG star gets red card in Chelsea VAR storm

Chelsea fans have joked Marc Cucurella should never cut his hair after a VAR storm saw Joao Neves sent off in the Club World Cup final.

PSG had been heavily tipped to take the inaugural Club World Cup crown off the back of their Champions League win in May and Real Madrid demolition in the semi-finals.

However, the Parisian giants were shot back down to earth by Enzo Maresca and his side - and as tensions boiled over in the final minutes, Neves was handed his marching orders. The referee had initially missed the scuffle, but he was soon summoned to the VAR monitor.

Cucurella and Neves had clashed off the ball, with the pair going shoulder to shoulder - however, the PSG star then lashed out at the Spaniard, pulling his long locks and tugging him to the ground.

"Cucurella never cut your hair. Easy way to farm red cards," one fan joked. While a second added: "Ah, the Marc Cucurella hair pull João Neves not the first to do it and probably won't be the last..."

"Neves got successfully rage baited by Cucurella," a third said. As a fourth posted: "Cucurella rage baiting to kill the game!"

And another added: "Cucurella’s hair is legit worth 9 extra points a season!"
