David Moyes wants to sign a creative midfielder at Everton this summer transfer window.
Everton are finally able to spend freely in the summer transfer market as the new financial year has begun.
David Moyes has already signed Thierno Barry from Villarreal, and now Douglas Luiz is being heavily linked to Finch Farm.
Luiz is free to leave Juventus for around £34m, however, there is stiff competition to land his signature, as Nottingham Forest and West Ham United are circling.
Everton are also in talks to sign James McAtee, however, that deal now appears to be in real jeopardy.

Everton look like they could miss out on James McAtee
James McAtee appears to be a top target for Everton after weeks of speculation linking him to the Hill Dickinson.
Pep Guardiola is willing to sanction McAtee’s sale, having left him out of Manchester City’s Club World Cup squad.
The Citizens reportedly want around £25m for the 22-year-old, and now it seems like a move to Germany is on the cards.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
Eintract Frankfurt have moved to the front of the queue in the race to sign the England under-21 international, as they’ve managed to convince him to take a look around the training ground and engage in face-to-face talks.
Borussia Dortmund have also been credited with an interest, but there’s no mention of Everton from Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg.

David Moyes must be getting a little worried
As well as McAtee, Everton are also set to miss out on Johan Bakayoko, who has agreed to join Bayer Leverkusen.
The German clubs appear to be convincing some of Europe’s best talent to develop in the Bundesliga, which is a path that has paid dividends for the likes of Jude Bellingham, Erling Haaland and Jamie Gittens, to name only a few.
Moyes must be getting a little concerned as Everton seem to be failing to land a number of their top targets, with Habib Diarra and Liam Delap notable examples.
The Scotsman will want the majority of his new signings through the door by the end of the month, when Everton fly out to the US for a pre-season tour.
Certainly plenty to do on Merseyside.
