West Ham are about to take a serious stride in their transfer window as they approach the Premier League season.
There has been concern about the lack of transfer activity at the London Stadium after just a couple of signings.
Daniel Cummings arrived at West Ham on a free transfer, while Jean-Clair Todibo turned his loan deal into a permanent stay.
Now, the Hammers are closing in on a deal for El Hadji Malick Diouf as he approaches East London by plane.

Diouf is welcome relief for Graham Potter
As the transfer window progresses, the Hammers’ lack of activity threatens to cast a dark cloud over the new season.
In truth, that cloud has been static for some time, but West Ham are finally making progress ahead of a crucial campaign.
Diouf has impressed for Slavia, and his statistics suggest he gets heavily involved and has a keen eye for goal.
Potter has Crysencio Summervile and Maxwel Cornet on the left, but the former is unproven and the latter is surely to depart, with Diouf able to play anywhere down that side, likely in defence at first.
That means that Diouf’s arrival is needed at the London Stadium, especially as Mohammed Kudus has signed for Tottenham.
While Potter needs more arrivals, the signing of Diouf looks to be a positive stride for West Ham.
