Mark Travers could become part of a double transfer as his move to Everton continues to edge towards completion.
The Irish goalkeeper made five appearances for Bournemouth last term before joining Middlesbrough on loan in January, and he now looks set to leave the Cherries on a permanent basis.
Everton have been in talks over a potential £4million swoop for Travers, and they have now taken a major step towards sealing the signing of their new man.
David Moyes needs reinforcements in his goalkeeping department following the departures of Asmir Begovic and Joao Virginia, and it now appears that he has found the player to challenge Jordan Pickford.

Travers to have Everton medical as Bournemouth close in on Petrovic
Everton have been heavily linked with Travers in the last few days, but now it appears his arrival at the Hill Dickinson Stadium is imminent.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
The 26-year-old is now understood to have agreed personal terms ahead of his move to Merseyside, and he will undergo a medical on Monday (14 July) afternoon, according to reports from Sky Sports’ Transfer Centre (14 July, 9:00am).
The South Coast outfit will receive a fee of £4m plus add-ons as part of the deal, with Travers surely now set to become an Everton player in the coming days.
The four-cap international could be about to become part of a double goalkeeping transfer at Bournemouth, who are closing in on securing a deal to sign Chelsea outcast Djordje Petrovic as they bid to instantly replace the outgoing man.

Travers will provide cover for Pickford
Jordan Pickford has developed into one of the Premier League’s finest ‘keepers in recent years, and Travers’ arrival will surely have no impact on his role as the Toffees’ number one.
However, with the lack of back-up options now in place, it was always going to be vital that Moyes and Co. got another gloveman through the door ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Travers has shown that he is a capable shot stopper, having enjoyed intermittent Premier League stints between the posts for Bournemouth, and he will provide capable cover for Pickford when required.
It is highly likely that he will only taste first-team action in the cup competitions, but Moyes can take solace from the fact that he has a reliable number two if his first-choice suffers an injury.
His arrival won’t be the most glamorous signing of the summer, but it is a sensible addition nonetheless.
