Everton fans might not be too pleased with the start to the summer window under the ownership of The Friedkin Group.
This summer is a chance for The Friedkins to put their words into action as Everton search for their upward trajectory in the Premier League.
David Moyes’ return was a masterclass from the owners, but even the Scotsman might be questioning the lack of new faces.
Thierno Barry is an exciting arrival, but now, halfway through July, it’s a concerning sign that just one announcement has been made.
It appears as though another target has slipped through their fingers, but something The Friedkins have done well could be replicated.

Everton set to lose out on target Richard Rios
With potentially up to ten new faces needed for the squad, it’s baffling to see the lack of movement in the transfer market, and Moyes must be scratching his head.
It was detailed that Everton had £100m to spend, and after Barry’s £29m deal, it’s clear the owners will have to use this sustainably.
A way they could’ve made a strong addition to the squad was through Everton target Richard Rios.

Rios was a standout in the FIFA Club World Cup with Palmeiras, and it comes as no surprise that he’s gaining attention.
So much so that even Roma want Rios, and that appears to be the direction the Brazilian is heading this window, with his wish to join in a £26m deal coming to fruition, as Fabrizio Romano has suggested the midfielder is all for the move.

However, despite this claim, The Friedkins might have a neat little trick which they can utilise.

The Friedkins can replicate Everton masterstroke with Rios
Although it’s a shame that Rios is likely heading for Rome, all is not lost in this deal for the Toffees.
With The Friedkins now venturing into their multi-club model between the two clubs, Everton could see the 25-year-old play on Bramley-Moore Dock after all, which would be brilliant to see after his contributions in the Club World Cup.
This comes after Brazilian defender Wesley is set to join Everton, but will be loaned out to Roma in a deal which could benefit Everton’s PSR.
Now, the owners could do the same but the other way, as with Evan Ferguson also close to joining Roma, it’s been said that the striker could be loaned to Everton, which can be the same destiny for Rios if he begins to struggle in Italy.
It’s not surprising that two similar situations involving this type of deal have already come to light, and it could now be replicated for a third time.
