Arsenal are in very advanced talks with Valencia to sign defender Christhian Mosquera, according to David Ornstein.
The Gunners have been very busy in the transfer market this summer as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen the squad following a third consecutive runners-up finish in the Premier League.
After deals for Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi and Christian Norgaard were already completed, the north London side are closing in on deals for Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres - and are now set to bolster their defence too.

Mosquera, who has been described as 'elite' by scout Ben Mattinson, has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the La Liga side and had been in negotiations to renew.
However, Arsenal have stepped up their interest in the 21-year-old and after having an opening offer rejected for the Spaniard they are now in 'very advanced' talks to complete a transfer and add him to their squad.
Ornstein says personal terms are already agreed with the player too, and a deal is now very close to being agreed with Valencia.
The Gunners have been keen to add a new defender to the squad after Kieran Tierney was allowed to leave on a free transfer, while Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jakub Kiwior are also expected to move on.
The club had been interested in signing Dean Huijsen, but the Spaniard picked Real Madrid instead and now Mosquera has emerged as Arteta's top target for the position.
A deal is close to being done after Arsenal completed an agreement with Chelsea for winger Noni Madueke, with the player already undergoing a medical, while a fee has finally been agreed with Sporting CP for Viktor Gyokeres after after drawn out negotiations.
