Fois was recently seen sitting with the Knicks' group at their Las Vegas Summer League game.

The 38-year-old Italian coach previously worked under Brown during his final days with the Kings.

Fois starred as a player at Pepperdine University before moving into coaching.

He served as an assistant coach at the University of Arizona from 2021 to 2024, helping the Wildcats win two Pac-12 championships and two regular-season titles.

During his tenure, Arizona earned a No. 1 seed and two No. 2 seeds in the NCAA Tournament, advancing to the Sweet 16 on two occasions.

Before Arizona, Fois was the director of analytics at Gonzaga University, contributing to the program's first-ever national championship game appearance in 2017.

He was also the director of player development for the Phoenix Suns during their 2021 NBA Finals run, working personally with current Knicks starter Mikal Bridges.

On the international stage, Fois has been an assistant coach for the Italian national team since 2017, now working under head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco.

Throughout his career, Fois has been credited with developing a number of players. His work spans from Domantas Sabonis, Zach Collins, Killian Tillie, and Rui Hachimura at Gonzaga, to Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson with the Suns, and more recently, Ben Mathurin, Dalen Terry, Christian Koloko, and Pelle Larson at Arizona.
