Trip down memory lane: The Canadian connection to a Wolverhampton school's rugby team, 54 years later

April 10, 2025, I located through the previous website, comments on the picture, and I was able to find and contact three boyhood friends Claude Verley, Rodney Dillon, and Lesly Lawrence, who I had not seen or spoken to in more than 54 years, when I emigrated to Canada. The names in the picture is almost complete, missing two names. It's been a real trip down memory lane, remembering those in the picture who have passed, including my best schoolmate Ken (Kenny) Bernard.

On April 12, 2025, I posted the picture on Bushbury, Fordhouses And Oxley Neighbourhood Watch, News And Events.

Those no longer with us, Ken Bernard, Ezron Graham, Venton Campbell, Melvyn Pike and Delroy Lewis, I still visualise them playing and we played for each other and after our games, a glass of milk and off to home.

Story, picture and postings provided by Hugh Johnson who lived on Bushbury Road in the mid-late 1950s through to 1971, moved to Canada, and to this day still reads the Express and Star daily on-line, and is a life-long supporter of Wolves.
