Camila Sáez's Chile claimed a confident 3–0 victory over Peru in their opening Copa America Femenina 2025 group stage match, putting on a dominant display to secure all three points.
While Peru held their own early on, Chile’s superior organisation and attacking edge eventually proved too much. Goals from Pamela Cabezas, Sonya Keefe, and Mary Valencia sealed the win, keeping Chile in strong contention for the knockout rounds.

In the first half, Peru showed plenty of resilience and organisation, but Sáez ensured that any moments of threat were quickly dealt with. As Chile took control after the break and began to create chances and score, her focus never wavered. Even with a growing lead, she kept the defensive line disciplined, shutting down any hope of a Peruvian response.
