Former Maryland men’s basketball players Julian Reese and Derik Queen faced off Saturday in the NBA 2K26 Summer League. Reese’s Los Angeles Lakers prevailed over Queen’s New Orleans Pelicans, 94-81.
In just eight minutes off the bench, Reese notched one point, two rebounds and an assist. Meanwhile, Queen posted his second straight double-double, securing 13 boards to go along with 12 points on 4-of-12 shooting from the floor. The No. 13 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft played 27 minutes in Saturday’s action.
Reese will next play Monday night against the Clippers, and Queen will next face off against Portland Tuesday evening.
