Alejandro Garnacho rejects chance to join hero Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr. The Manchester United youngster is focused on staying in Europe despite interest from the Saudi giants.
Garnacho Turns Down Opportunity To Play With Ronaldo Again
Alejandro Garnacho has turned down an offer to join Al Nassr and play alongside his idol Cristiano Ronaldo.
The winger snubbed the big money deal. He sees his future as a European player. Reports suggest Garnacho has fallen out of favour at Manchester United. He is one of the five players not included on the pre-season tour of America.
The club has allowed the young man to find a new club, and a number of euro clubs are watching the situation unfold. Chelsea showed interest in the player in January. But, the Blues want to make a swap deal involving Christopher Nkunku as per reports. Napoli are also in the mix as well.
Exit Talks Heat Up as United Set Price Tag
Man Utd have reportedly slapped a £70m price tag on Garnacho. But, selling him for that amount may be tough given his lack of playing time under new boss Ruben Amorim. Although, he has a more reasonable salary compared to other out-of-favour stars like Rashford, Sancho, and Antony. So, that might make him easier to sell.
Rashford has been pushing hard for a move to Barcelona. Sancho is attracting interest from Juventus too. Meanwhile, Antony has been in great form while on loan at Real Betis. But, Garnacho was different because of the interest surrounding his potential. Also, he has not really broken through at Man Utd. Garnacho is likely counting on himself by rejecting Al Nassr as he aims to remains Europe.
For now, any next move will purely depend on other clubs. They need to match Man Utd’s valuation and believe they can bring the best out of the winger.
