Graham Potter is facing a pivotal summer at West Ham.

The Hammers need a major overhaul if they are to improve, having finished 14th in the Premier League last season.

The Irons have already lost Mohammed Kudus, who joined Tottenham in a £55million deal and will need to find a replacement before the new campaign.

There are plenty of other positions that need attention in the market, and it remains to be seen whether they can get business done in time.

A new goalkeeper is a must for Potter this summer, as Lukas Fabianski departed at the end of his contract, and there are doubts over Alphonse Areola’s ability.

Zion Suzuki could be that man, as the Hammers have been linked with a £21.5million swoop for the Parma man.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is expected to retain his place at right-wing back after a brilliant personal campaign despite the team’s struggles.

El Hadji Malick Diouf looks set to be the new left-back in East London, with the finishing touches being applied to a £19m move.

Max Kilman and Jean-Clair Todibo are expected to keep their spots in the three centre-back system, with Charlie Cresswell predicted to line up alongside them.

In midfield, Thomas Soucek might retain his place, as his work rate and strong aerial presence are good assets for Potter’s side.

He might be joined by Liverpool ace Harvey Elliott, who would provide a direct, creative threat, something which the E20 outfit has lacked recently.

Jarrod Bowen is undroppable on the right-hand side, and he is expected to have Ademola Lookman on the other side of him, in a tantalising attacking duo.

Finally, Dominic Calvert-Lewin completes the line-up, as the Irons may decide to take a gamble on the former Everton forward, who is a free agent.

The 28-year-old is a monster at his best when he is fit, capable of holding the ball up efficiently and scoring goals regularly.

West Ham need to get deals done soon

The season is rapidly approaching, and the London Stadium outfit needs to speed up their business, as they have been far too slow to make signings at the moment.

David Sullivan and Co need to ensure that they can secure Potter’s targets, otherwise the campaign will start on the wrong foot, which is something that the ex-Brighton man cannot afford.
