Leeds United legend Kalvin Phillips has paid a surprise visit to meet the cast of a play celebrating Marcelo Bielsa and the club’s promotion heroes.
For the last few weeks, Leeds Playhouse has been staging the play Through It All Together. It is documenting Leeds United’s 16-year Premier League exile ending in 2020. Kalvin Phillips, 29, was a major part of the success under Argentine coach Bielsa - the manager still a hero to Leeds United supporters.
Former Emmerdale stars Reece Dinsdale and Dean Smith are part of the cast alongside Coronation Street fave Shobna Gulati. On Saturday, Kalvin Phillips, who is currently a Manchester City player, watched Through It All Together on Saturday evening.
Actor Reece shared a photo on X. He said: “Some chap and his family photobombed our cast photo after seeing our show last night.”
Many fans were delighted with the snap.
Through it All Together will be staged at Leeds Playhouse until Saturday, July 19. You can find ticket information here.
