Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is making the rounds at the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament. During his time there, Rodgers has given an interview, called out an ‘autograph hound,’ and in his latest viral clip, going back and forth with a child in an odd exchange.
Rodgers can be seen going through the ropes to transition to the next hole when a young kid yelled out that Rodgers almost hit him.
“You almost hit me, Aaron Rodgers,” the kid said.
In a simple three-word response, Rodgers brushed it aside.
“Almost doesn’t count.”
Rodgers is no stranger to making headlines, just as he has all week long at the tournament. He was also not the only person who nearly struck a spectator. In fact, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce did not end up hitting a fan.
Rodgers finished the event shooting at 42, good enough to be tied for 15th place.
The Steelers signed Rodgers in June ahead of the team’s mandatory minicamp. Rodgers had 28 touchdowns to 11 interceptions in 2024. He went just 5-12 in his starts with the Jets, and even after they acquired Davante Adams, they went just 3-8. It was a tough season for Rodgers, who also had multiple leg injuries.
