Arsenal have announced Cam’ron Ismail’s first professional contract with the club, following the expiry of the player’s scholarship deal this summer.

Arsenal officially confirmed a new deal for Cam’ron Ismail on Monday, with the player’s previous contract expiring at the end of June.
The Premier League had revealed in June that Ismail was one of five Arsenal academy players in contract talks ahead of the end of their previous deals. Will Sweet and Louie Copley have already had their new deals confirmed since then, and Ismail is the next up.
The 18-year-old left-back made 22 appearances for the Arsenal u18s, u19s, and u21s in 2024/25 but he’ll now step up to the u21 team on a full-time basis.

“I think it’s a proud moment for me and it’s something that I’ve been dreaming of,” Ismail said. “It’s a big moment and I’m happy to be here.
“I’ve always been an Arsenal fan. I think being around it and living so close to the stadium, you’re always seeing Arsenal fans everywhere, hearing the theme song. I think it’s a big thing, just being from Islington and supporting Arsenal and being able to play for Arsenal.
“I’m very proud, very proud to do so, and every day, I come in and give my all.”

This new contract announcement isn’t surprising, as Ismail had already linked up with the Arsenal u21s over the last couple of weeks despite officially being a free agent.
For the same reason, it’s expected that Arsenal will soon announce a professional contract for Daniel Oyetunde.
Of the five academy players in contract talks last month, that would then only leave Dan Casey, who hasn’t returned to pre-season training with Arsenal yet.
