Report: Man Utd hold talks with reps of 'incredible' forward as Arsenal pull out of deal

Manchester United have spoken with the agent of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko after Arsenal opted to move for Viktor Gyokeres instead, according to TBR Football.

Bringing in a new centre-forward is likely to be high on United's priority list for the summer transfer window. Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee have struggled since their moves from Serie A to England, and with United enduring a difficult 2024/2025 season, finishing in the bottom half of the Premier League, they could be looking to upgrade in the final third.

Matheus Cunha has already arrived at Old Trafford from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while the Red Devils are also pushing to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo. Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed at the weekend that United were still working on a deal for Mbeumo, discussing potential add-ons with Brentford.

According to TBR Football, Sesko's agent has been in contact with Manchester United, keeping the club abreast of his situation after the Slovenian striker missed out on a move to Arsenal. Sesko could still remain at Leipzig for the 2025/2026 season, but his representatives are assessing their options ahead of a potential move.

Sesko could be a smart addition for the Red Devils, considering the goal record he's produced at such a young age. Not only would the Leipzig forward be a long-term addition for the future, but he can also make a significant impact immediately, and there's certainly an argument to suggest he would come straight into the starting XI.

The 22-year-old, described as 'incredible' by talent scout Jacek Kulig, is a target for a host of clubs this summer, but with Arsenal seemingly pulling out of the race, United could have a chance of securing his signature if they make a play in the coming weeks or months.
