Manchester United have been boosted in their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo with Brentford identifying Ipswich Town winger Omari Hutchinson as a possible replacement, according to Fabrizio Romano on Monday afternoon.
The Red Devils' interest in the Bees forward was first reported more than a month ago, but they are so far yet to agree a deal with the west London outfit to bring the Cameroon international to Old Trafford.
United have already added one new face to their frontline in the form of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer, but Amorim wants at least one more new name in attack, and he could also potentially land a striker after Mbeumo.

Despite a lack of public progress, Romano has confirmed via his X account on Monday afternoon that United are still 'on it' when it comes to negotiations to sign Mbeumo.
One sign that the Red Devils could be getting close to agreeing a deal for the 25-year-old would be if Brentford found his replacement, and it appears as though that could be the case following the latest update.
The renowned Italian journalist says that the Bees are showing initial interest in Hutchinson, who has just suffered relegation to the Championship with Ipswich, although club-to-club talks are yet to take place over a possible move.
Despite being part of a team that went down, Hutchinson appears to be in demand this summer and was described just a couple of months ago as the 'Premier League's new most wanted man' by the Daily Mail.
