Alex Sarr just finished his rookie season in the NBA with the Washington Wizards and is ready to start his second campaign.
He has been participating in the NBA Summer League as a way to get practice before 2025-26 and has shown impressive skills.
According to Real Sports, Sarr just broke the Summer League record for the most blocks in a single game with an astounding 8.
Is this a taste of things to come in the upcoming season?

Last season, Sarr averaged 13.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.4 assists on 39.4 percent from the field and 30.8 percent from beyond the three-point line.
He also put up 1.5 blocks per game, so this 8 in a single game is truly amazing.
The question is this: Can he keep it up during the regular season when he isn’t competing against the inexperienced players who populate the Summer League?
Sarr’s first season showed a lot of promise, and he ended up being fourth in the running for Rookie of the Year.
Still, most people agree that he can do even more, and they expect an improvement in 2025-26 and beyond.
Because he plays for the Wizards, Sarr has a chance to become the team’s most important player.
The team will probably continue to struggle for some time, allowing Sarr room to grow, improve, and enhance his skills.
2024-25 could have been just the beginning.
The Summer League is a chance for new players to adjust to playing in the NBA, and also an opportunity for more established athletes to improve.
Sarr’s big night and his jaw-dropping number of blocks prove that he is trying to get even better.
