Man Utd one of three clubs linked with midfielder who was labelled‘next Casemiro,’transfer battle could‘heat up soon’

Manchester United are one of the three leading European clubs that are taking a closer look at an ‘heir-apparent’ to Casemiro, according to reports in Italy.

Casemiro impressed in the second half of the 2024-25 campaign at Old Trafford after a superb impact for the Red Devils in the Europa League campaign.

The 33-year-old Manchester United midfielder re-established his role in the first-team squad under Ruben Amorim after the former Sporting CP manager’s arrival.

Casemiro reported for pre-season training at Carrington last week and the former Real Madrid ace is expected to stay at Old Trafford for the 2025-26 campaign.

The Brazil international’s long-term future at the Premier League club under Ruben Amorim remains in doubt and Casemiro is out of contract with United in 2026.

Casemiro made 42 appearances across all competitions for United last season and the ex-Los Blancos star netted five times and registered three assists for his side.

Man Utd could now sign Wolves and Brazil midfielder Andre as a long-term successor for Casemiro at Old Trafford

Casemiro is not getting any younger at Old Trafford and Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has already been tipped to sign a new midfielder this summer.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the Red Devils are now exploring a potential transfer swoop for Brazil and Wolves midfielder Andre amid the transfer window.

United-linked Andre has been at Wolves since last summer after the Premier League club signed him from Brazilian outfit Fluminense on deadline day.

Andre came through the youth ranks at Fluminense and the Brazilian midfielder played in 36 matches across all competitions for Wolves in his debut season.

The Wolves star, who made 197 appearances for Fluminense, is under contract at the Molineux until 2029, having only arrived at Wolves in 2024.

Corriere dello Sport reports that both Serie A side Juventus and Premier League champions Liverpool have been linked with Wolves star Andre this summer.
