Everton are lacking in options at left back after a chunk of players departed the Merseyside club earlier this summer.
Abdoluaye Doucoure and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were among the high-profile Everton departures at the North West club.
Ashley Young also left the Premier League outfit, and although he played primarily as a right back, he did cover on the left at times.
With Vitaliy Mykolenko as the sole natural option, the Toffees have been linked with free agent Nicolas Tagliafico.

The Toffees thought they were close to signing Kenny Tete, but the 29-year-old opted to agree to a new deal at Fulham.
MORE TOFFEES STORIES
With that in mind, Everton have been regularly linked with Tagliafico, although European football could be a defining factor in his next move.
France-based journalist Luke Entwistle, speaking exclusively to Goodison News, has provided insight on the defender and whether he would be a worthwhile addition for Moyes.

Lyon 102 9 10
Tagliafico has played for three European sides during his career
“You know what you’re getting with him; you know that he’s better going forward than he is going back,” he said.
“He’s a free agent and was never going to stay, not only because he didn’t enjoy living in Lyon, but frequent break-ins into his flat were an issue, meaning that he wasn’t really that keen on staying.
“Lyon really could not afford to keep him. His wages were absolutely astronomical. He was comfortably one of the highest earners, and we all know about their financial situation.
“He’s still the player he was. He still likes to get forward, but doesn’t have that pace anymore. He’s got a good delivery on him, and he’s okay defensively.
“I think that he’s one of those who everyone’s always expected to go to the Premier League, and he never has, but he’s still got something to give.
“Would he be a starter at West Ham or Everton? Maybe he would, but the issue is you can’t really have him as a squad option because of his wages.
“He’s still a decent, solid left-back option, albeit one that most sensible clubs, given the wage amounts, should not be taking a punt on – that’s just my opinion.
“There’s probably better value in the market, despite him being a ‘free agent’.”

Tagliafico move unlikely, but new left back needed for Moyes
While the World Cup winner may demand high wages, Everton would not have to pay a fee for the 32-year-old.
With that being said, making a player one of your highest earners has a knock-on effect for the rest of the business you conduct.
However, Moyes needs options at left back because although Mykolenko is a strong option, one choice is not enough.
There has been significant speculation around Tagliafico’s next move, and it surely will not be long before his future is known.
