Manchester United could have a busy week ahead of them as they continue to step up their transfer plans.
United have already added Matheus Cunha to their squad for the new Premier League season after agreeing to pay the Brazilian's £62.5million release clause in his contract at Wolves. So far, though, Cunha is the only new signing completed by United, but that could change this week.
Ruben Amorim will be continuing his plans for his first full season as United's head coach. Some of those plans will involve work on the training ground, while others will be behind the scenes working on new signings in the transfer market.
United's first pre-season friendly of the summer will see them travel to Sweden to face Leeds on Saturday. United will hope to have some more deals wrapped up by the time they make the trip to Stockholm.
One deal United will hope to get completed this week is the signing of Bryan Mbeumo. Two bids have already been rejected by Brentford for the Cameroon international, but there is believed to still be confidence from United that they can bring Mbeumo to Old Trafford.
In terms of other potential new signings, there is still nothing more concrete to mention on the rumour mill. United have been heavily linked with signing a striker, but after missing out on Liam Delap and Viktor Gyokeres it remains to be seen where they will go next.
There have also been reports that United could sign a new goalkeeper this summer amid speculation around Andre Onana's future. Aston Villa shot-stopper Emi Martinez has been linked with United in recent weeks, but the possibility of a move remains a rumour at this stage.
United could see some players leave the club over the next week, both on permanent deals and on a loan basis. Marcus Rashford is being heavily linked with a move away from United with some suggestions that a loan deal to Barcelona may be on the cards.
Alejandro Garnacho is also a player who could leave United this summer, with the Argentina international joining Rashford in training away from the rest of the first-team squad at Carrington last week.
United could also see Antony and Jadon Sancho leave the club this summer on permanent deals after their loan deals last season. Whether any moves could happen this week remains to be seen, but it would not be a shock to see deals speed up now that clubs are returning for pre-season training.
