Wide receivers and the San Francisco 49ers just don't seem to get along all the time...
The team traded Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders earlier this offseason and seemed to regrettably give Brandon Aiyuk an extension last offseason. Aiyuk tore his ACL early in the 2024 NFL Season, so that deal is already off to a bad start.
All of a sudden, the 49ers' receiver room seems a bit iffy, and with some news on Monday, the room could take yet another massive hit.
Jauan Jennings wants a new deal or a trade from the San Francisco 49ers
Adam Schefter broke the news on Monday:
49ers WR Jauan Jennings, who is scheduled to make $7.5 million this season in the final year of his deal, wants a new contract or a trade, per sources.

Jauan Jennings is set to enter his age-28 season in the NFL and has now finished up four years after being drafted in the seventh round back in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Tennessee. In his first three years in the NFL, Jennings never reached 40 receptions or 450 yards in a season.
He nearly doubled that production in 2024, catching 77 passes for 975 yards and six touchdowns. All three numbers were career-highs, and he also started in a career-high 10 games. With Jennings also being a willing blocker, his value is actually quite high. Well, if he were to get traded, which teams make the most sense?
The one team that sticks out the most is the Denver Broncos.
The Broncos have a 'thing' for big-bodied wide receivers who can block, as this has been a skill set that Sean Payton has coveted for years in his offenses. Denver also needs another productive WR, but it would likely have to include one of its own receivers in a potential deal.
With Bo Nix and the team now being in a win-now window and them having signed two former 49ers in Dre Greenlaw and Talanoa Hufanga, Jennings could be the next player to join Broncos Country.
But if the Broncos wouldn't be interested, would the Pittsburgh Steelers have interest?
Pittsburgh has been searching for a WR2 for some time now and did just trade for and extend DK Metcalf. Furthermore, the Steelers are once again trying an all-in push, but are this time trying with Aaron Rodgers under center.
The last point I'll make here is that the 49ers would probably like to trade him outside of the conference, so a team like Denver or Pittsburgh could make a lot of sense for a new home.
