Arsenal have Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as one of their targets to add this summer as they look to improve in attack.
There have been no reports suggesting that the Gunners have approached Real Madrid to sign the 24-year-old, however, it has been reported by Fabrizio Romano that the Spanish club aren’t ruling out a potential sale of him this summer.

Rodrygo was excellent for Madrid last year, making 54 appearances, and scoring 14 goals, with 11 assists. Due to this impressive form, he has been named as one of the Gunners’ ‘dream’ targets this summer. But he is expected to cost around £70m and upwards, so we have a list of three cheaper alternatives that Arsenal could sign instead…
Dan Ndoye – Bologna
Firstly, is Bologna winger Dan Ndoye, who is a big name in the Serie A, but his success hasn’t translated to the rest of Europe just yet, although it only feels a matter of time.
Last season, Ndoye made 41 appearances for the Italian club, scoring nine goals, and providing six assists. He also plays for the Swiss national team, having made 22 appearances at the age of 24.
According to Italian outlet, Football Italia, he has generated interest from Napoli, but Arsenal should come in and make a move for him instead. He is expected to be worth around £30m.
Mika Godts – Ajax
If Arsenal wanted to go for a younger winger that could turn into one of the Premier League’s best, they should consider Ajax star Mika Godts.
The 20-year-old can play as a left winger, right winger, or attacking midfielder, making him by far the most versatile option on this list.
Last year, he made 47 appearances for the Dutch giants, scoring eight goals, and providing seven assists. Impressive numbers for someone so young, he could be a future star. Furthermore, with a market value of just €10m, he would be very cheap.
Igor Paixao – Feyenoord
Finally, someone that Arsenal have already been linked with, Igor Paixao from Feyenoord has been able to generate Premier League interest, and is reportedly on the radar of Liverpool as well as Arsenal.
The 25-year-old was Feyenoord’s talisman last year, scoring 18 goals, and providing 19 assists, with those numbers, Paixao could have a Salah-like season in the Premier League if he develops as he could.
Previous reports have said that the Brazilian is expected to cost anything in the region of just £21.6m, which would be an absolute steal for the Gunners.
