Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim and players Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes have visited Anfield to pay their respects to former Liverpool star Diogo Jota.
Jota, alongside his brother Andre Silva, died earlier this month after being involved in a car accident in the municipality of Cernadilla, Zamora, Spain.
The former Liverpool attacker was travelling from Portugal to Santander in northern Spain, where he was due to take the ferry back to England. He had been advised not to fly after recently undergoing a minor operation.
The passing of the two brothers has rocked the world of football, leading to global tributes to the duo. Their funerals took place in Portugal on July 5 and United duo Dalot and Fernandes were present.
The pair, who were teammates of Jota's at international level, were offered an extra week off by United after being expected to report back for pre-season training last week. However, they both reported back to Carrington last Thursday as originally planned.
Liverpool posted a collection of images on their Instagram page on Monday afternoon, showing Amorim, Dalot and Fernandes laying a tribute to Jota outside Anfield.
Images showed Dalot laying a floral tribute on behalf of United. The players, alongside Amorim, also took a few moments to observe all of the tributes that have been laid in memory of the former Wolves star and his brother.
A post shared on Liverpool's Instagram page said: "Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and Ruben Amorim have laid a tribute to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva, on behalf of all at Manchester United.
The message on the card on the wreath laid by the trio said: "Rest in peace, Diogo and Andre. With deepest condolences from everyone at Manchester United."
Liverpool played for the first time since Jota's death on Sunday, starting their pre-season campaign with a 3-1 win over Preston North End at Deepdale.
