Few positions will be more vital to the Green Bay Packers‘ success or Jordan Love’s 2025 season than the play of the offensive line in front of the third-year starter and a potentially dominant stable of running backs.
This has been an offseason of change up front for the Packers, but while playing in a competitive NFC North division and with aspirations for this young roster to make the leap towards competing for a Super Bowl, the pressure is on.
Where Packers’ Offensive Line Ranks Ahead of 2025
Green Bay Packers, Jordan Morgan
Green Bay Packers guard Zach Tom (50) and offensive tackle Jordan Morgan (77) team p to blocks Arizona Cardinals defensive end L.J. Collier (91) during the third quarter of their game Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Green Bay Packers beat the Arizona Cardinals 34-13.
Over at Pro Football Focus, NFL analyst Zoltán Buday ranked every offensive line across the league, with the Packers checking in at No. 14.
“The Packers reshuffled their interior offensive line,” Buday writes for PFF. “Which has a wide range of possible outcomes. 2024 first-round pick Jordan Morgan is expected to start at right guard after playing just 186 snaps on offense as a rookie. Green Bay also signed guard Aaron Banks, who ranked 33rd among guards with a 65.4 PFF overall grade in a career year.
“Elgton Jenkins is set to move inside to play guard for the Packers. The unit will still be led by Zach Tom, who grew into one of the best right tackles in the league, recording an 85.8 PFF overall grade in 2024, which ranked sixth among all offensive tackles.”
Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (10) takes a snap from offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins (74) during the eighth practice of training camp on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Ray Nitschke Field in Ashwaubenon, Wis.
Much of the Packers’ success up front could depend on Morgan living up to his first-round billing, and Banks building on his strong career with the San Francisco 49ers and helping Love stay upright in the pocket.
Meanwhile, Jenkins’ contract situation could hang over training camp this summer, but if this group can get on the field, get quality reps together to build chemistry and cohesion, this could be a unit that makes major strides and gives the offense a boost.
