West Ham insider ExWHUEmployee has revealed three midfielders currently being chased by the Hammers – but Douglas Luiz isn’t one of them.
Juventus’ Brazilian international has been heavily linked with a move to the London Stadium over the last few days but has been omitted from Ex’s list. Perhaps it’s West Ham’s reluctance to agree to the Serie A side’s obligation-to-buy clause, but it seems the Irons’ interest is now fizzling out.
Instead, Ex has named three prominent targets, including Bilal El Khannouss of Leicester – who we featured earlier today.

Luiz was not named on the list of three players by the West Ham ITK
The second name is Southampton’s Mateus Fernandes, a player reportedly admired by Graham Potter. Fernandes performed impressively last season despite the Saints’ relegation from the Premier League.
Lastly, the West Ham ITK mentioned Andrey Santos of Chelsea, although it’s understood that this would only be a loan deal.
Club officials have made it clear that while Potter hopes to bring in two new midfielders, departures will be necessary. At present, Tomas Soucek, Edson Álvarez, James Ward-Prowse, Guido Rodríguez and Andy Irving are all said to be available for transfer to varying degrees.
