Celtics Legend’s FS1 Show Axed Amid Stunning Sweep Of Cancellations

Paul Pierce’s run on daily television is coming to a halt, at least for now.

FOX Sports nuked three of its shows on FS1, [according to The Athletic](https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6493469/2025/07/14/joy-taylor-fox-sports-cancelled-shows/). Among them is “Speak,” which was hosted by Joy Taylor, with Pierce and Keyshawn Johnson as the two co-hosts. It had been airing at 5p.m. ET on weekdays.

Taylor ultimately is the most head-turning name in this, as she’s been in the middle of the FOX harassment lawsuits that led to the ousting of Charlie Dixon, previously the network’s top programming executive. According to The Athletic, Taylor’s contract was up

The opportunity for Pierce came last September. He had joined the network earlier in the year as a contributor, his first foray back into broadcasting after his infamous end at ESPN, the result of an ill-fated Instagram Live.

The Celtics legend has proven to be a competent hot take artist, but whether that and his name recognition are enough to get him another daily talk show role remains to be seen.

In addition to Speak, Breakfast Ball and The Facility were cancelled. Craig Carton, Danny Parkins and Mark Schlereth hosted the former, with Emmanuel Acho, Chase Daniel, James Jones, and LeSean McCoy on the latter.

The Herd and First Things First will remain as FOX presumably looks to fill its newly vacated hours of sports programming on FS1.
