Leeds United are pursuing the services of Hoffenheim midfielder Anton Stach, with Daniel Farke keen on him.
Thus far, the Whites have signed Jaka Bijol, Gabriel Gudmundsson, Sebastiaan Bornauw and Lukas Nmecha as they prepare for life in the Premier League.
However, they are yet to sign a striker who will regularly lead the line, as Nmecha has joined as a backup.

Stach negotiations with Hoffenheim have become tougher due to public nature
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post journalist Graham Smyth (14 July), sources at the club are hopeful of signing the 26-year-old.
However, the public nature of Leeds’ pursuit of Stach have made discussions with Hoffenheim tougher.

They remain in negotiations for the Germany international, but have preferred to be private about their business this summer.
Nmecha’s interest also first came to light on the day the Elland Road outfit ended up announcing his signing.

Leeds United must speeden negotiations and finalise Stach’s transfer
To expedite signing Stach, Leeds United must act decisively and strategically.
The Whites must submit a formal bid close to Hoffenheim’s £17.25million asking price or perhaps even an initial lowball offer.
Engaging directly with Hoffenheim and Stach’s representatives to negotiate terms swiftly can prevent competitors from hijacking the deal.
Leveraging their Red Bull ties could provide a negotiation edge, emphasising Leeds’ Premier League return and Stach’s potential role as a key midfielder.
Offering a competitive salary and a clear vision of Stach’s role under Farke could sway the 26-year-old, who is considering a move.
Finalising the transfer before pre-season intensifies ensures Stach integrates early, aligning with Leeds’ goal of building a robust squad for Premier League survival.
Hopefully, there are no more twists and turns and they can reach an agreement quickly.
