AC Milan have announced the signing of Luka Modrić from Real Madrid.
He joins the Italian club on a free transfer after his contract expired at the Bernabéu.
The 40-year-old Croatian international began his professional career in 2003 with Dinamo Zagreb. He made nearly a hundred appearances over five seasons, including two loan spells.
He joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2008, where he went on to make over 120 appearances.
He moved to Real Madrid in 2012 and became an integral part of one of the most successful sides in history. He won four domestic titles, six Champions League trophies, five FIFA Club World Cups, and several other honours.
In all competitions, he played nearly 600 times for the club over 13 seasons.
He also captained Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final.
He has signed a one-year deal with an option for a further year.
