COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State receiver Garrett Wilson has been one of the NFL’s best receivers since he came into the league in 2022.
Now, he’s reportedly getting a pay raise that makes him among the highest paid at his position.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Wilson and the New York Jets agreed to a four-year contract extension worth $130 million, including $90 million guaranteed.
Wilson, the 10th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, had two years left on his rookie contract coming into this season. He is now the fifth-highest paid receiver in football in terms of average annual contract value at $32.5 million, behind only Ja’Marr Chase ($40.3 million), Justin Jefferson ($35 million), CeeDee Lamb ($34 million) and DK Metcalf ($33 million).
In three seasons in the NFL, Wilson has 279 catches for 3,279 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2022, catching 83 passes for 1,103 yards and four TDs.
