Arsenal could part ways with forward Leandro Trossard this summer, as the club weigh up offers for the Belgian international amid stalled contract talks and growing interest from European and Saudi clubs. According to journalist Sami Mokbel, the Gunners are not ruling out the possibility of Trossard’s departure as they reshape their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Trossard, 30, joined Arsenal from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 for £27 million and has been a vital contributor under Mikel Arteta. The versatile attacker has registered 28 goals and 22 assists across 123 appearances, often stepping up in key moments, including a memorable winner against Manchester United last season. However, despite his importance, Arsenal are reportedly hesitant to meet his wage demands in ongoing negotiations for a new contract.

“There’s an acceptance at Arsenal that the current deal he’s on is not a reflection of his importance and output,” Mokbel said viaLatte Firm on YouTube, while also confirming the club are in active discussions over a potential pay rise. Yet with talks stalling, new sporting director Andrea Berta is said to be cautious about committing to Trossard’s financial expectations.

Trossard’s situation has alerted several suitors across Europe and beyond. Bayern Munich have emerged as a potential destination, while clubs in Saudi Arabia including Al-Ittihad, who had a €30 million loan-to-buy offer rejected last September remain interested. Serie A sides are also reportedly monitoring his availability.

Earlier this year, it seemed likely that Trossard would extend his stay at the Emirates, with reports in May suggesting contract negotiations were at an advanced stage. At the time, all parties were optimistic. However, a lack of progress since then has shifted the tone, with Arsenal now open to listening to offers. The club are understood to be demanding around £20 million for the Belgian forward.

Trossard’s future could also be impacted by Arsenal’s broader transfer plans. The Gunners are actively exploring options to reinforce their attack, with Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze and Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres among the names linked. Injuries to Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz during the past season highlighted the squad’s lack of attacking depth, which Arteta is keen to address this summer.
