The NBA Summer League is underway in Las Vegas with rookies trying to improve their skills and other players making an effort to earn a roster spot.
On Monday, the Indiana Pacers and Chicago Bulls faced off.
In the second quarter, Pacers rookie Johnny Furphy made a name for himself.
Furphy, who was selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, played in 50 games, albeit sparingly.
During Monday's game, Furphy went viral for a must-see poster dunk.
Right after the dunk hit the internet, his Pacers teammate, Tyrese Haliburton, took to X to share his feelings on the slam.
"Johnny MF Furphy sheeeeeesh."
Here's the dunk from Furphy.
It was quite the throwdown from Furphy, and fans reacted accordingly on X.
"Dunk of the Summer League," one fan wrote. "CAUGHT A BODY ON LIVE TV," another stated.
"ON HIS HEAD," the Puma Basketball account wrote. "Maybe Johnny needs to be in the slam dunk contest next year?" another said. "My goodness," another said.
Haliburton later quoted the post with another caption: "Your favorite players favorite player."
Furphy has been gaining some traction during the Summer League. In the Pacers game on Saturday, he had 11 points with six rebounds and four assists in 29 minutes of playing time.
In less than half an hour, this clip by the NBA account had garnered over 160,000 views, and it will likely be replayed quite a bit in the coming days.
