Nick Sirianni sounds offf on Jalen Hurts

The Philadelphia Eagles are the reigning Super Bowl champions after they completely dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP.

However, many rival fans and pundits still believe that Hurts isn’t an elite quarterback, but rather an average one who has been surrounded with a surplus of talent. Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni, on the other hand, is tired of hearing that sort of talk about his quarterback.

“Anytime, I hear that, it’s cool, it’s like a nice debate thing that people like to have,” Sirianni said, according to Pro Football Talk. “And I get it, there’s a lot of hours that TV shows and radio stations have to fill to be able to fill that debate.

“I understand that, but we’re talking about the ultimate team game there is and he does whatever he needs to do to win each and every game. . . . It’s the most ultimate team game there is. And what I admire about him is his selflessness of doing anything we need to do to win.”

Fan reacted to Siranni’s statement on social media.

“Basically no one criticises Hurts, they criticise people who rank him with the top QB’s in the league. Saying someone is the 6 – 12 best QB in the league, considering the talent is not a criticism,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Im a cowboys fan and can’t stand Hurts and he has benefited from easy 1st downs with butt push.. but he has won a super bowl .and there’s only one stat that matters for every athlete in any sport.. and thats winning a championship.. Hurts has done that so something worked,” someone else added.

“Could barely throw for 200 yards for streches of last year. With a great o-line and all-pro weapons. Overrated as hell not even close to top 10,” one fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see if Hurts can prove his doubters wrong this season.
